LGTB Generations Project Ph: (604) 684-8449

LGTB HEALTH MATTERS PROJECT

The LGTB Health Mattes Project (Health Matters) is a partnership initiative between The Centre and the Canadian Rainbow Health Coalition (CRHC). Funding has been provided by the Primary Health Care Transition Fund, Health Canada.
Health Matters is one of 8 partnership projects across the country.

The Health Matters Project aims to build awareness and expertise on LGTB health and wellness issues within the primary health care field as well as at the community level. In doing so it will increase access to quality and informed health care and social services through a systematic approach to policy development, training, and organizational change with health care providers, health regions, and educational institutions responsible for the training of health care and social service providers.

GAB YOUTH SERVICES

Gab Youth Services provides support, information and referral to LGTBQ youth, their friends and family. Our goal is to provide a safe place where LGTBQ youth and those who care about them can receive accurate, non-judgmental information about sexual orientation and gender identity.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH SERVICES

Education and Outreach Services provides LGTB awareness training for service providers, coordination of community events around health and well-being, and the development and distribution of resource materials for LGTB health promotion.
