A number of resource materials are developed by The Centre every year. Below is a list of current publications. Some are available as PDF files. Limited hard copies are also available - please contact the appropriate program area.

 

  • LGTB Health Matters, Education and Training Resource
    An education and training resource for health and social service sectors - for professionals in health and social service fields and for use in a variety of educational settings, from undergraduate to continuing education. The LGTB Health Matters education and training resource was produced by The Centre in partnership with the Canadian Rainbow Health Coalition.   • LGTB Health Matters Pamphlets
    Series of four pamphlets that highlight health concerns and community resources for each population.   • Removing Barriers & Building Access
    A comprehensive resource manual on providing culturally relevant services to lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual victims of violence. Includes sections on understanding LGTB identities and culture; anti-LGTB incidents (hate crimes); relationship violence; and suggestions on providing culturally relevant services.   • PrideSpeak Manual

  • A helpful guide (2004) to presenting anti-homophobia workshops. This manual explores a series of exercises that can be used in facilitating anti-homophobia workshops.   • What’s Good About Being Queer

  • A short booklet representing the writings of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited and questioning youth on their experiences of being proud and avoiding sexual exploitation.
